Carrington Labs is a publicly-traded company with approximately $25M in yearly sales. They had a consumer-based online e-commerce shopping cart that was producing very little revenue. In addition, their site did not adequately target customers for their raw materials and manufacturing divisions. Although Carrington had an internal marketing department, there was no one with any interactive marketing knowledge or experience. They also learned that, although they had been paying a large sum of money each month to their website provider, they did not own their site, their code or their shopping cart. A true online marketing partner was needed to take their e-business to the next level so they contacted Masterlink.
Since Carrington did not own their website, there was no way to modify the current site to solve any issues they were experiencing. The old site was also not user or search engine friendly. After a review of Carrington’s needs and resources, Masterlink introduced it’s MarketMaster™ program and became their true partner for all their interactive marketing needs, and to drive new business for all of their divisions. A new look and feel that enhanced their image was created. Separate information for each business unit was developed and a dynamic, online e-commerce system was launched. In addition, a complete, consultative marketing plan was implemented.
Within 90 days of launching their new site through the MarketMaster™ program, traffic to their site had increase 20%, but online revenues had in increased 320% showing the new site and MarketMaster™ program was making a huge impact on the revenues for the company. Based on the results, many enhancements are planned for the end of ’07 and early ’08.
