Tapestries tell a story of a different
time and place, illustrating the life of the people and
environment. Imagine landscapes of village life with townsfolk
dancing, picnicking and even engaged in battle, or romantic
scenes with couples of small groups playing music in the
countryside amidst lush villas and chateaus.
Many tapestries are more than 100
years old and are typically Flemish or Swedish French
(Goblan). Some of the more recent pieces are woven in
Romania and the Orient with wool, and have a flat weave
without a pile. Colors range from a vivid gold, green
and blue-green to a handsome terra-cotta.
All tapestries are available in various
sizes and may be hand-woven upon request.
